Maxim Smith

Maxim is Director of Corporate Development at Draig Therapeutics. He joined the company in 2024 as a member of the founding team, initially serving as Director of Operations where he drove company-build operations and supported Draig’s fundraising activities. He subsequently transitioned into his current position, where he plays a central role in all corporate development activities.

Maxim’s experience has been exclusively focused on early-stage, venture-backed biotech. Prior to joining Draig, he was with SV Health Investors, where he supported the biotech investment team on new company creation activities. Before that, he was with Quell Therapeutics from an early stage and contributed significantly to the company’s growth and pipeline expansion through roles of increasing responsibility in Business Development & Strategy.

Maxim holds a first-class joint honours degree in Biochemistry and Management from Imperial College London.
