Maxim Smith

Maxim is Director of Corporate Development at Draig Therapeutics. He has been with the company since its inception in 2024 as a member of the founding team and played a key role in corporate development activities and company-build operations.

All of Maxim’s experience to-date spans the early-stage venture-backed biotech landscape. He joined Draig from SV Health Investors where he supported the biotech investment team on new company creation activities. Prior to that, Maxim was at Quell Therapeutics, where he joined at an early stage and made significant contributions to the company’s growth and pipeline expansion while advancing through roles of increasing responsibility in Business Development & Strategy.

Maxim holds a first-class joint honours degree in Biochemistry and Management from Imperial College London.
